Lesson Plan:
Introduction (10 minutes)
Greet the student in Swahili
Explain the goals and objectives of the lesson
Ask the student about their prior knowledge of Swahili
Basic Vocabulary (30 minutes)
Introduce basic Swahili vocabulary related to everyday activities, such as greetings, family, food, and numbers.
Use visual aids, such as pictures or flashcards, to help students understand the meaning of each word.
Practice pronunciation and repetition of the words with the student.
Simple Sentences (30 minutes)
Teach the student how to construct simple sentences in Swahili, such as "My name is ___" or "How are you?"
Provide examples of simple questions and answers in Swahili, such as "What is your name?" and "My name is ___".
Encourage the student to practice speaking and listening to these simple sentences.
Role Play (30 minutes)
Provide a scenario where the student can practice their Swahili conversation skills, such as ordering food at a restaurant or introducing themselves to a new friend.
Encourage the student to use the vocabulary and sentences they have learned in class.
Wrap-up (10 minutes)
Recap the key vocabulary and sentences learned in class.
Encourage student to continue practicing Swahili outside of class
