About Anne-Jane
Hello! My name is Anne-Jane, and I am a qualified English teacher with experience working as the main classroom teacher at two schools. I also hold a TEFL certification, which has equipped me with strong skills in teaching English to students of different ages and levels. I take my role as an educator seriously, and I always aim to provide lessons that are professional, supportive, and engaging. I am fluent in English and Afrikaans, and I’m able to teach confidently in both languages. My teaching style is patient, structured, and flexible—I meet each student exactly where they are and guide them step by step toward their goals. Whether a student wants to improve grammar, pronunciation, conversation skills, or overall confidence, I create lessons that are clear, enjoyable, and personalized to their needs. Students can expect a calm, positive learning environment where mistakes are part of the learning process and progress is celebrated. I provide gentle correction, helpful feedback, and practical activities that make English feel natural and achievable. My Approach to Private Tutoring
My approach to tutoring is centered on creating a positive, comfortable learning environment where students feel motivated and supported. I believe that every learner is unique, so I adapt my methodology to match each student’s goals, level, and personal learning style. What makes me unique as a teacher is my ability to break down difficult concepts into simple, practical steps while keeping lessons fun, encouraging, and full of real-life relevance.
I am proficient in English and Afrikaans, and I am able to teach in both languages depending on the student’s preference or comfort level.
