About Mhegan
Hello, my name is Mhegan Patterson. I know that Math is a subject that a lot of people struggle with, but I personally enjoyed Math when I was in school, and want to help students on the subject. I know that everyone learns at their own pace and in their own way, and at times the student might get frustrated, especially when they feel like they should be making more progress, or are just stuck on a problem, but I hope I will be able to help them find the way that's best for them to learn Math.

I like to use worked examples to demonstrate step-by-step how to complete a problem. First introducing the concept in its simplest format, then gradually progress from simple to complex procedures.
A typical lesson plan will start with discussing with the student what they are currently struggling with. Then I will review with them the lesson, and create examples that I will break down for them step-by-step. And then I will let them try solving some problems on their own. When they are finished, I go over the problem with them again to make sure they fully have a grasp on the subject.
My lessons are for Elementary school to High school level students, who need tutoring in subjects such as Arithmetic, Algebra, and Geometry.
