About Tobi
I am a lawyer, and I earned my law degree from McGill University's Faculty of Law and my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Queen's University. Throughout my academic and professional career, I have developed a strong foundation in law, business, critical thinking, and academic writing.
I currently practice corporate and business law at a full service firm, giving me firsthand experience applying legal principles in a professional setting. My goal is to help students not only achieve excellent grades but also develop the analytical and problem-solving skills that will serve them throughout their education and future careers.
I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves. My teaching approach is practical, personalized, and focused on building confidence. I tailor each lesson to the student's goals and learning style, using clear explanations, real-world examples, and guided practice to help them master concepts rather than simply memorize them.
A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, introducing new concepts, working through examples together, and ending with practice questions and study strategies.
As an Ontario lawyer, a McGill Law graduate, and a Queen's University graduate with a degree in Sociology, I combine academic knowledge with real-world legal experience to make complex topics easy to understand. I also help students strengthen their critical thinking, essay writing, and exam skills.
My lessons are ideal for high school, college, and university students studying law, business, sociology, or anyone looking to improve their academic writing and analytical skills.
