About Talia

As an individual, I have been described as warm, bubbly and friendly. People know how much I love to teach and the passion that I have for my job. I love making a difference to others' lives and will go the extra mile to do so. My passion for teaching began in 2020, when as a student nurse, I realised that I was about to be in wrong career. I decided to withdraw from nursing and instead complete a BA in Early Years. This experience taught me that teaching was DEFINITELY the correct choice and that my heart was in early years. Having achieved a first in my degree, I then went on to complete my PGCE and QTS. Whilst this was difficult and a rollercoaster of a year, like my students, I persevered. I finished with both distinction and a Qualified Teacher Status. I am now currently building up my experience and am looking to teach full time in the coming years.

About the lesson

I have found that teaching in a calm and open manner to be powerful in creating an effective learning environment with all my students. Children are unique and learn in different ways, therefore, I will be tailoring my lessons to support your child's needs. This could range from videos to discussions to games to hands-on experience! The resources are endless and I can assure that your child/children will thrive through my teaching. Primary School Teaching Having just finished my teacher training, I am prepped with the most up-to-date information on children's learning and an excellent knowledge of the primary national curriculum, I have experience teaching across KS1 and KS2. Whilst I teach in all primary subjects, I specialise in Literacy, Phonics, Maths, Early Maths and Early Literacy. I am also available to support children who may have learning difficulties, special needs and those who are learning English as a Language (EAL) The first lesson will be an introduction and an initial assessment so we can both get to know each other better. The assessment is designed to recognise your child's strengths and areas we can work on, helping me to recognise where additional support might be required. From this point, we will take one lesson at a time and slowly build up confidence in areas that feel challenging. I am happy to work with any children to bridge any gaps in their learning, or help them understand the topics they are tackling in school through looking at homework.
