About Alish
I’m a Neuroscience student at the University of Otago with a strong background in Chemistry and Biology. I tutor because I enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts clearly and gain confidence in their learning.
Having gone through NCEA and HSFY myself, I understand where students commonly struggle and how exams are assessed. I’m patient, organized, and focused on explaining ideas in a simple, logical way so students can improve both understanding and results.

My lessons are structured, clear, and focused on building real understanding, not memorising facts. I break down Chemistry and Biology concepts step-by-step, then apply them directly to NCEA and HSFY exam-style questions so students learn how to earn marks, not just “know the content”.
