About Joanna
I believe education is one of the most powerful investments we can make in a child’s future. As a dedicated tutor with over 25 years teaching special education and over 50 years of playing the piano, I bring both legitimacy and professionalism to every session. My approach is rooted in patience, proven teaching strategies, and a commitment to tailoring lessons to each learner’s unique needs. I hold myself to high professional standards—clear communication, reliable scheduling, and a safe, motivating environment are at the heart of my practice. I don’t rely on “one-size-fits-all” worksheets; instead, I use a mix of real-life examples, hands-on practice, and step-by-step guidance to make concepts stick.
My approach includes:

Using interactive strategies (visuals, stories, games, or real-world applications)
Focusing on how to learn, not just what to learn—so skills last a lifetime
