About Mohammed
I have been working in education since 2007 in various different roles. I have a passion for Computer Science and want to ensure that this subject is accessible to all students. We live in an age where understanding Computer Science will allow students to flourish in all subjects and endeavours.
Understanding the complexities of the subject and being able to use this to break down problems and identify solutions is a vitally important and transferrable skill that all students need to develop.
I have held various roles in my teaching career since 2007. My former roles include being a Lead Practitioner for Computer Science, Head of Department for Computer Science and Head of Faculty for Computer Science, Enterprise and Media.
In my current role as Staff Development Co-ordinator, I still teach, plan, and assess for Computer Science and have personally been responsible for developing over 100 trainee teachers over the last two years. I have worked with a number of institutions including Birmingham City University, University of Birmingham, Coventry University, Newman University and Titan Partnership for Initial Teacher Training. As the professional mentor for all of these institutions, I oversee the initial teacher training programme at my school.

I believe that all students can achieve success. As a tutor, I quickly identify individual approaches to take with each student that I teach to ensure that the lesson maximises their ability to learn. I do not have one fixed approach to tutoring. This will be tailored to each individual and their needs / starting points.
I believe that understanding the fundamentals of computational thinking will allow students to excel both in Computer Science and in all other subjects and life in general.
