About Eren

I'm Eren, a 4th-year Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Oxford, specialising in neuroscience.

I've always loved learning, especially the moment when a difficult idea suddenly makes sense. That's what I try to create in every lesson. I'm not interested in memorising facts for their own sake. I want my students to understand why things work, because that's what builds confidence and lasting results.

Neuroscience is my passion. I'm fascinated by how the brain keeps its vast network of connections healthy, and my current research asks whether it has a built-in "self-repair" system. That same curiosity drives my teaching, whether I'm helping a GCSE student with biology or a university student with a tough neuroscience module.

My achievements include:

- Highest BMAT score among Oxford Biomedical Sciences applicants in the 2022 admissions cycle
- First Class result in my Oxford undergraduate final exams
- 6 A*s at A level, including maths, further maths, biology, chemistry, physics and EPQ
- Nine grade 9s at GCSE

I've been through tough academic milestones myself, from GCSEs and A levels to Oxford admissions and final exams. I know how much pressure they bring, and I'd love to help you handle them with confidence.

About the lesson

No two students need the same help, so every lesson is tailored to you. Your first lesson is free, and we'll use it to work out what's holding you back. Once we know what to focus on, each lesson is built around your goals and adapted as you progress.

I took maths, further maths, biology, chemistry and physics at A level fairly recently, so I know the specifications and what examiners look for. I also love these subjects. Science is most rewarding when you understand why things work, and when you see that, learning becomes more enjoyable and exams become much less daunting.

Online, 60 minutes. Book regular weekly lessons, or intensive sessions in the run-up to exams.
