About Oscar
I've always been involved in outreach at Oxford University and tutoring on the side, as I love using my understanding of science and technology to help others go down similar pathways. Otherwise, for students trying to do a standalone Maths module, I still thoroughly enjoy going through problems as after all I do it on a daily basis at university!
Aside from work I love rowing and go to competitions throughout the UK, while I also play some guitar.

My approach is to ask the student what course and examination board they are studying for, then to print off the specification from online and use it as a checklist to make sure all the sections are covered as we go through. For the average lesson, it's useful to roughly go along with the student's textbook, otherwise I'll grab my own one alongside some other material and we will cover it together with lots of practice questions and talking it through. Typically I would host 1-2 hour lessons as this provides a sufficient amount of time to go through topics. I can cover both GCSE or A-Level Maths and Physics, or even a reasonable level of undergraduate Engineering.

Oscar and I studied together at Oxford. Despite my best efforts, I often struggled with my coursework. He was kind and patient as he helped me work through the problems and was very knowledgeable in maths and science. Thankfully, I’ve graduated but I’ve had him work with many of my friends and relatives working toward university admissions and A-levels. Could not recommend him more!!
Oscar is one of the Student Ambassadors at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. Whenever Oscar has worked at an event for the department, he has always been really approachable and has a very easy-going personality! He is able to talk to people of all ages and very clearly gets his point across in any situation.
