About Keiko
I am a diligent and enthusiastic tutor with a passion for English. I achieved a first in my first year exams in Oxford University, an A* in OCR English Literature A-level, and two 9s in both English Language and English Literature GCSE. I did not take English Language A-level, however, so cannot tutor in that. As a tutor, I try to go above the bare minimum, offering personalised lessons by adjusting to the pupil. I am interested in the individual and, for that reason, only take one or two pupils at a time, to offer full attention and commitment.

My lessons tend to be an hour long and are catered towards the pupils' area of interest. It is helpful for me to get a prior gauge on weak points and the aspired end point before I begin, after which I structure my lessons. With creative writing, this usually involves teaching how to improve any weakness in technique before spending some time practising together, whereas GCSE or A-level involves going through practice papers, discussing and improving technique. I am also happy to mark extra work on the side.
