About Alfie
Hi, I'm Alfie! I am totally obsessed with the Spanish-speaking world and speaking Spanish, so much so that I often annoy friends and family who can't understand me!
Teaching has always been a passion of mine - I remember tutoring my younger brother all the way back in primary school! I also love music and I have years of experience teaching the drums, my favourite instrument.

I offer lessons to all those wishing to learn Spanish, with a special focus on those undertaking GCSE and A-level courses in Spanish.
My lessons typically range from 30 minutes to an hour and involve as much speaking in Spanish as the student is comfortable with and capable of doing, since I believe regular speaking practice helps massively with all components of learning a language.
I am currently studying Spanish alongside Linguistics at the University of Oxford, having achieved a 9 in GCSE Spanish and an A* in A-level Spanish. I got this last qualification in 2023; the course is fresh in my mind and I can give relevant and up-to-date advice on how to excel in the public exams.
I have experience tutoring GCSE students in Spanish, especially the speaking and writing components, having delivered both group and private lessons. In addition, I am a mentor to disadvantaged students wishing to get an offer from Oxbridge for courses involving Spanish. In this vein, I am full of recommendations for super-curricular learning, be it films, TV, music, literature or even YouTube!
