About Abbas
I am entering my final year of Engineering Science at Oxford, gaining a first class for my penultimate year. I've been tutoring for over 5 years, tutoring students from KS2, GCSE, AS, A-Level up to mentoring/tutoring students who have gained places at Oxford and Cambridge.
I am a DBS certified tutor, with an enhanced DBS certificate available upon request.
I've tutored over 100 students, privately, with STEM organisations and agencies with a bespoke clientele.
I've offered specialist Oxbridge admissions support to many students - working with ‘Oxbridge Applications’
In the summer of 2019, I was a mentor on the ‘Immerse’ Summer School at Cambridge University. I have also been involved in charitable education efforts, having volunteered to teach secondary school students in Tanzania.
I've offered 100s of hours of tuition online for a broad range of students, from KS3 to Oxbridge interview preparation. I have a professional setup, complete with graphics tablet and online whiteboard suite. The pandemic has meant I've had to tutor many students remotely, but many of my students have preferred this, and would prefer remote tuition long term!

I like to implement my own study techniques when tutoring, as it allows both the tutee and myself to work efficiently and productively.
I'd set goals and this would give us something to work to throughout the year. I'm also a firm believer in practice makes perfect! And so, where possible, I'll always encourage the student to go away and practice in their own time by giving them homework. Of course, not all students take well to homework (and I'm no exception!) but it does pay off in due course.
