About Max
I am a recent graduate from Oxford University and have been teaching maths and physics for six years. I have taught over 50 different students privately, in person as well as online. I have also taken a 14 day course teaching physics in schools, run by the University of Oxford, which included time working with students in a secondary school.

I have recent experience of sitting exams and succeeding in them so have a good knowledge of exactly what is required. A focus of mine is to give students a proper understanding of the material in the exam and I will always have several approaches to explaining a concept. I can also give relevant and up to date advice on exam technique so the student can make the most of their ability on the day.
Much of my experience is of working with students who are often worried or embarrassed about not understanding something. This is common, so I endeavour to make students feel comfortable asking questions about concepts that they feel are simple or that they `ought` to know already.

Max is a really clear and careful maths & physics tutor. He takes time to explain concepts from the basic definition through to the practical usage in mathematics and physics. He's a calm and considerate person who understands that a student needs to work through mathematics at their own pace. I would thoroughly recommend him.
Having experienced a number of teachers and tutors over sixth form, I can safely say Max offered me the best results in my own personal progress.
