About Andrei
I have helped hundreds of people achieve their language-learning goals in classrooms, summer camps, and university halls.
Although I only started to learn Russian at the age of 14, I chose to pursue my first undergraduate degree in Moscow. There, I trained for three years to became a certified English-Russian consecutive translator while also pursuing a degree in International Finance.
To support myself financially, I spent my holidays teaching English at summer camps and private schools. Soon after, I extended my work to teaching private clients and translating large-scale projects for film studios and non-profit organisations.
At present, I live in the UK, studying Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of Oxford. In my spare time, I continue to offer professional services as both a translator and an educator. Throughout the summer, I tutor intensive 2-week courses at Oxford with groups of 3-6 students.
Having now taught for over six years, I have developed a unique and adaptive teaching style to facilitates rapid and long-lasting academic results in my students.
Fundamentally, as both a teacher and a translator, my aim is the same -- namely, to find connections between languages in a format most accessible to my clients. I pride myself on achieving superior results in both domains. And it is my hope that I can impart this same skillset to my students.

I know Rick from our time together at Harris Manchester College. Rick is one of those people in life who just oozes passion about whatever he is studying, whether it be world news or an exciting concept in psychology. He is one of the most brilliant people I know, knowledgeable about a myriad of subjects with excellent critical thinking skills. On a personal note, he is a really kind, funny, and thoughtful person. I have no doubt that Rick would be an excellent tutor.
Andrei and I go to University together and I cannot recommend him highly enough! Whenever I’ve had any sort of academic difficulty he’s been there to help out. He has gone above and beyond to do favours for me - including speaking on my behalf in Russian when I needed to make an important phone call. He’s very patient when explaining things I’m unfamiliar with and is enthusiastic and attentive in conversation.
