About Irish Grace
Malugod na Pagbati! Muli, I'm Irish! a Filipino psychology undergraduate with a lifelong passion for language, culture, and helping others grow. Tagalog is my mother tongue. I've spoken it every day of my life, so you're learning directly from someone who lives and breathes the language! My background in psychology gives me a genuine edge as a tutor. I bring that knowledge into every session, making sure my approach is always thoughtful, student-centered, and grounded in how learning actually works. I take my role as a tutor seriously. I come to every session prepared, punctual, and fully focused on your progress. I hold myself to a high standard of professionalism, communication, consistent feedback, and a structured plan that evolves with your needs. I believe learning Tagalog should feel natural and confidence-building from the very first session. Drawing from my psychology background, I use conversation-based teaching, association techniques, and positive reinforcement to help new vocabulary and phrases stick, without overwhelming you with grammar rules upfront. A typical lesson starts with a warm-up using phrases from our previous session, moves into new vocabulary tied to a real-life theme like greetings, food, or directions, then wraps up with light roleplay and a quick review. Every session is structured but flexible enough to follow your energy and pace. What sets me apart is the combination of being a true native speaker and a psychology student who genuinely understands how people learn. I notice what works for each student quickly and adjust accordingly, keeping every session encouraging, practical, and judgment-free.
