About KRITIKA
I am psychology graduate currently pursuing my postgraduation in the same subject. I enjoy teaching and here are few reasons i boiled down.
1. I actually just enjoy teaching people (in general) things. I enjoy watching their eyes light up when they finally understand something. It’s just wonderful!
2. I don’t want students growing up defeated that they are not enough & are bad at everything. I want to actively change that mentality. While you can’t be great at everything, there’s always something someone is good at. I also like pointing out to these students that I actually did pretty average throughout my schooling until I went to University where I’m at the high end of my cohort. That they too, will find an area they excel at & just to try their best. It’s all anyone can ask.
Thus far (specific to primary), I’ve really enjoyed the creativity and solutions to problems students come up with. They’re really well thought out too.

I try to Know the subject matter i wish to teach (naturally) so as to freely impart my knowledge. I explain using basic terms, i also incorporate the use of diagrams, drawings and/or pictures. Visual aids are very useful. I try to involve the person i am teaching, i also like to use divide and conquer, basically split up chunks of knowledge that is needed, explain that as best of i can - write down the general rule somewhere, and integrate that into the follow-up material by working out an example, i also actively lend out notes alongwith important questions and i also heavily emphasis on active recall during my classes, thankyou.
