About Aydan

I believe every student has their own unique way of excelling in their studies, as well as in their pursuit in landing their dreams. When I first embarked on my A-Levels journey at Taylor’s, aspiring to become a lawyer, I initially struggled to cope with the immense amount of Law content to grasp in order to memorise and critically evaluate the subject matter.

A lack of exposure and prior planning led me to collapse at first, not getting the grades I wanted in my internal exams. However, while demoralised, it led me to craft a more strategic and effective studying plan to master A-Level Law which eventually paid off, with me obtaining an A (88) for the subject in the November 2024 sitting. Although I was 2 raw marks off an A*, getting 70+ out of 75 for 2 of the component papers was more rewarding than ever.

Currently, I am an LLB student at Universiti Malaya, previously holding offers for Law from Durham University, Cardiff, Exeter and Monash University (Law & Commerce) for the 2025/26 intake.

My will to teach lies in the fact that students should not be left behind without guidance, nor should they second-guess their decision to even take the subject when approaching A-Level Law.

I aim to offer a helping hand towards students who feel the same way as I initially did, demoralised or clueless, in their journey of mastering this subject.

I may also provide tips and tricks related to additional matters (university applications, IELTS, personal statements, personalised help etc.) should my future students require them. I hope my future students can gain something useful out of their journeys with me, helping them achieve the goals they’ve longed for.

About the lesson

Each class will last about 1.5 hours, to ensure the optimal satisfaction of efficient knowledge transferring between students and myself.

I’ll tailor my teaching to fit each student’s needs, focusing on key concepts and relevant content.

My approach includes breaking down important topics based on past and potential exam questions, walking students through Cambridge-style answers to help them think and write as expected, sharing tips to make the subject more accessible and engaging, encouraging students to analyse and critique laws in England and Wales, as well as providing detailed yet concise notes for quick reference during exam prep.

My teaching will solely be based on the Cambridge Assessment International Education syllabus of A-Level Law, which is broken down into 4 components in two separate exam categories:

AS Level:
Paper 1: English Legal System
Paper 2: Criminal Law

A2 Level:
Paper 3: Contract Law
Paper 4: Tort Law
