About Evan
I recently passed all four sections of the CPA Exam and have dedicated my tutoring to helping students succeed in Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR). Having gone through the exam process myself, I understand the challenges that candidates face and know how to break down difficult topics into clear, manageable concepts.
I take every lesson seriously and strive to create a supportive, professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. My goal is not only to help you improve your score but also to build the confidence and understanding needed to tackle challenging accounting concepts on your own.
Every session is prepared with your individual goals in mind, whether you need help with a specific Becker module, difficult multiple-choice questions, simulations, or an overall study strategy. I am patient, reliable, and committed to helping each student make measurable progress toward passing FAR.

I specialize in tutoring the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) section of the CPA Exam. Having successfully passed all four sections of the CPA Exam myself, I understand exactly what students struggle with and how to simplify complex accounting topics into concepts that are easy to understand and remember.
My teaching approach is personalized to each student's needs. Before or during our first session, I identify the areas where you are having the most difficulty, whether that's journal entries, consolidations, bonds, leases, deferred taxes, governmental accounting, or another FAR topic. From there, we work through concepts step by step, focusing not only on getting the correct answer but also on understanding the underlying accounting principles.
A typical lesson includes reviewing difficult topics, working through multiple-choice questions together, discussing common exam traps, and developing a strategy for approaching similar questions on your own. If you are using Becker, we can also review specific modules and practice questions together, but I am happy to work with students using any CPA review course.
What sets me apart is that I recently completed the CPA Exam process myself. I know what the current exam is like, the study strategies that actually work, and how to explain difficult material in a straightforward, practical way. My goal is to help you build confidence while improving both your understanding of accounting and your exam performance.
My lessons are designed for CPA candidates preparing for FAR, accounting students taking financial accounting courses, and anyone looking to strengthen their understanding of financial reporting concepts. Whether you are just starting your FAR preparation or preparing for a retake, I will tailor each session to help you reach your goals.
