About Isabelle
I am a professional piano tutor with extensive experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. I hold Master’s degrees in Music, providing expertise in both theory and performance. I have taught beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students preparing for exams, recitals, and competitions. My lessons are student-centred, structured, and personalised to each learner’s goals, pace, and learning style. I use real-life examples and case studies to make rhythm, melody, and harmony understandable and relatable. Motivation is central to my teaching, and I encourage students to set goals, monitor progress, and celebrate milestones. Problem-solving exercises are included to develop analytical thinking and independence.
I emphasise integrity, creating a safe, honest, and supportive environment for learning. I am flexible, adapting lessons according to each student’s abilities, style, and personal objectives. Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and composition. I prepare students for exams, competitions, and performances while fostering creativity, confidence, and discipline. Lessons are available online or in-person for learners of all ages. I focus on technical skills, expressive playing, and a lifelong love for music. Each lesson is engaging, motivating, and rewarding. I teach piano using a student-centred and comprehensive methodology that blends creativity, practical learning, and personal growth. I use real-life examples and case studies to make musical concepts relatable, such as showing how rhythm mirrors natural body movements, melody expresses emotions, and harmony reflects collaboration or teamwork. I emphasise motivation, helping students set achievable goals, track progress, and celebrate each accomplishment to foster confidence, persistence, and enjoyment. Problem-solving is an essential part of my lessons, guiding students to analyse challenges, explore solutions independently, and develop critical thinking and analytical skills that strengthen both their technical abilities and musical interpretation.
I maintain integrity, creating an honest, patient, and supportive environment where students feel safe to experiment, ask questions, and learn from mistakes. I also incorporate flexibility, tailoring lessons to the student’s age, skill level, pace, and personal objectives, whether for exam preparation, performance, or personal enrichment. Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and basic composition, giving students a full understanding of music. Lessons are available online or in-person for learners of all ages.
