About Noor

I have two degrees — a BA in Politics & International Relations and an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies — but don’t worry, I promise I won’t turn our history or politics lessons into a never-ending lecture!
I work full-time in the charity sector as a caseworker and I’m also a Board Member of a Swiss-Greek NGO responding to humanitarian crises. So for me, politics isn’t just theory — it’s real life. The same goes for history: it shapes the world we live in today. That real-world perspective is something I love bringing into my tutoring.
I’m passionate about helping students truly understand why events happened, how power works, and how historical decisions still influence current affairs. Whether it’s exam prep, essay writing, or just making sense of political theories, I focus on building confidence, critical thinking, and strong argument skills.
I’m friendly, patient, and encouraging — I like lessons to feel engaging, relaxed, and thought-provoking. History and politics should feel exciting and relevant, not overwhelming or dry!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, structured, and supportive. I tailor every lesson to the individual’s goals — whether that’s conversational fluency, exam preparation, grammar improvement, or building confidence speaking Italian.
I use a communicative teaching methodology, meaning lessons focus on practical language use from the very beginning. I combine structured grammar explanations with interactive activities such as conversation practice, reading short texts, vocabulary building, listening exercises, and real-life scenarios. I also adapt materials depending on learning style — some students prefer visual aids, others benefit more from speaking and repetition.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, though I can offer shorter (45 minutes) or longer sessions if needed.

My lessons are suitable for:
• Complete beginners
• GCSE / A-level students
My aim is to create a comfortable and motivating environment where students feel confident making mistakes and steadily improving.
