About Tharshana

Hi, I’m Tharshana and I’m here to make math less intimidating and more achievable. With a strong academic background in mathematics and proven experience as a tutor, I’ve helped students not only improve their grades but also build lasting confidence in their abilities. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take a personalized approach—explaining concepts clearly, adapting to your learning style, and creating a supportive space where questions are always welcome. Whether you’re preparing for exams or just trying to keep up in class, I’m here to guide you step by step.

About the lesson

My Approach to Maths Tutoring:

I believe that everyone can understand maths with the right approach and guidance. My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building a strong foundation by explaining concepts clearly, breaking problems down step-by-step, and using real-life examples to make learning more engaging and relatable.

I encourage active participation during lessons, regularly check for understanding, and adjust my teaching pace based on the student’s comfort level. I also provide practice problems and strategies for independent study to help reinforce learning outside of sessions.

Lesson Format:

Each online lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, but I can offer longer or shorter sessions depending on the student’s needs and attention span. Lessons are conducted via Google Meet, with screen sharing and virtual whiteboards for interactive problem-solving.

My Qualifications and Experience:

I have a strong background in mathematics and experience tutoring students of various levels—from primary to secondary school. I’ve helped students improve their confidence, exam performance, and overall understanding of key maths topics.

Who My Lessons Are For:

My lessons are ideal for students aged 8 to 18, whether they’re looking for help with schoolwork, exam prep or just want to strengthen their maths skills. I also welcome adult learners who may be revisiting maths after a break.
