About Avanti
I am a passionate and dedicated English Language and Literature teacher with a deep commitment to making English accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for every student. With extensive teaching experience, I believe that learning English should go beyond textbooks and examinations—it should inspire students to think, communicate, create, and express themselves with confidence.
My classroom is interactive, lively, and student-centered, where students are encouraged to participate, ask questions, share their perspectives, and learn through meaningful conversations and activities. I make a conscious effort to connect language and literature to real-life situations and experiences, helping students see English as a skill they can use confidently in their everyday lives.
My aim is not merely to teach English, but to help students enjoy the language, strengthen their skills, discover their voice, and develop a genuine appreciation for literature.

My Approach as a Teacher
Teaching Techniques and Methods
My teaching approach is active, interactive, and student-centered. I believe students learn best when they are encouraged to participate, question, discuss, and express their ideas rather than simply listen and memorize. I use discussions, questioning, collaborative activities, presentations, literary analysis, and competency-based tasks to make learning meaningful and enjoyable.
Usual Structure of a Class
I generally begin a class with a thought-provoking question, a real-life situation, or a short activity to connect students with the topic. This is followed by a clear explanation of the concept, interactive discussion and guided practice. Students are then encouraged to apply their learning through activities, problem-solving, writing, analysis, or discussion. I conclude by revisiting the key learning points and checking students’ understanding.
What Makes My Teaching Special
I strive to make every lesson engaging, relatable, and relevant to real life. Particularly while teaching English Language and Literature, I connect literary themes, characters, language and writing skills to situations that students encounter in their everyday lives. I encourage students to think critically, form independent opinions, and develop confidence in expressing themselves.
Classes Intended For
My classes are primarily intended for school students, particularly those studying at the CBSE and IGCSE levels, with a focus on English Language and Literature.
