Hi, I’m Angie! I’m a certified elementary teacher with over eight years of experience helping students succeed both in and out of the classroom. I specialize in working with students from diverse backgrounds, including English Language Learners, and I understand how to adapt lessons to meet individual needs. I’m known for creating a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable, confident, and motivated to do their best. As a tutor, my approach is personalized and student-focused. I start by getting to know each learner—their strengths, challenges, and goals—so I can adapt my teaching to suit their individual needs. I use a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, and interactive activities to keep lessons engaging and effective. I also incorporate visual aids, real-life examples, and check-ins to make sure concepts are understood before moving forward.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review, followed by focused work on a specific skill or concept. I always leave time for questions, reflection, and a bit of fun to keep students motivated and confident.
What sets me apart is my ability to build trust and strong relationships with students. I create a safe space where they feel comfortable making mistakes and are encouraged to grow. My lessons are best suited for elementary students (K–6), including English Language Learners, those needing extra support, or those looking for enrichment.
