About Myra
I was born and raised in Sabah, Malaysia, and come from a Chinese, Indian, and Dusun background. I started learning English from a very young age, and it has grown to become my mother tongue alongside Malay.
Travelling to many countries has allowed me to experience so many colourful cultures, and thanks to English, I’ve been able to connect with people of all backgrounds, building meaningful bonds and friendships that last a lifetime. Seeing how language can bring people together so naturally has always fascinated me.
It’s no surprise that I love learning languages and hope to inspire others to do the same. At the moment, I’m learning Japanese and also trying my hand at Korean.

I have been teaching English since 2010. I started by teaching children and teens, and now I also teach adults from many different countries. I am a TESOL graduate, and I help students feel confident speaking and writing in English.
Each student gets a simple, personalised learning plan based on their goals. I also teach IELTS and have helped many students prepare to study abroad.
I believe learning should be relaxed and enjoyable. My lessons are supportive, easy to follow, and focused on your needs. Lessons are 30 minutes to 1 hour and are taught online via Zoom or Google Meet.
