About Pragna
Hello! I'm Pragna, a certified ESL instructor with over 25 years of teaching experience and a deep passion for helping learners succeed. I understand that learning a new language can be challenging, but with the right guidance, it can also be exciting and empowering. That’s where I come in. My teaching is built on trust, patience, and personalized support. I take time to understand each student’s goals, learning style, and background. Whether you're preparing for daily conversations, work-related communication, or building strong reading and writing skills, I will help you grow with confidence. I hold a TESL certification from Canada and have experience working with newcomers and adult learners in both classroom and community-based settings. My lessons are engaging, goal-oriented, and designed to help you use English in real-life situations. Students often tell me they feel comfortable, motivated, and supported in my classes—and that is the greatest reward for me as a teacher. A Typical Lesson Plan
A 60-minute lesson generally follows this structure:
Warm-Up & Lead-In (10 min): Brief conversation or activity to activate prior knowledge and introduce the topic.
Vocabulary & Pre-Task (10 min): Present and practice key vocabulary or structures related to the topic.
Main Task or Reading/Listening Activity (20 min): Learners complete a comprehension or speaking activity using the target language.
Guided Practice (15 min): Controlled practice using worksheets, sentence building, or partner work.
Wrap-Up & Feedback (5 min): Review key learning points, clarify doubts, and reflect on progress.
