I teach high school students using a learner-centered and concept-focused approach. My goal is not just to help students memorize information, but to make them understand the “why” behind each topic so they can apply it in real situations and exams.
I use a mix of direct instruction and guided discovery. I start by breaking down complex topics into simple, understandable parts, then use examples that are relatable to students’ everyday experiences. I also incorporate questioning techniques, short activities, and formative checks to ensure understanding before moving forward.
A usual lesson begins with a quick review of previous topics, followed by an introduction of the new lesson through a simple question or real-life situation. The main discussion comes next, where concepts are explained step-by-step with examples. After that, students do practice exercises, either guided or independent. The lesson ends with a short assessment or recap to check understanding and reinforce key points.
I focus on clarity and patience, making sure students truly understand before advancing. I also adapt my explanations in multiple ways—visual, verbal, and practical—depending on what works best for the learner.
My lessons are designed for high school students (Grades 7–12), especially those who need support in understanding core concepts, improving academic performance, or preparing for quizzes, exams, and class requirements. I can adjust content depending on the student’s level, whether they need remediation, reinforcement, or advanced practice.
