About Nerine

Hi! My name is Nerine, and I am a passionate and friendly Bachelor of Education student who enjoys working with learners and helping them reach their full potential.

I have always had a passion for education and for creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, supported and confident. I am a patient person and believe that every learner learns differently, which is why I like to adapt my lessons to suit the individual learner.

I enjoy making lessons fun and interactive rather than simply working through a textbook. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and trying again, because I believe this is an important part of learning.

Outside of my studies, I enjoy spending time with my family and doing things that allow me to be creative. I am excited to share my knowledge of Afrikaans and help learners improve their language skills while building their confidence.

I look forward to getting to know you and helping you achieve your learning goals!

About the lesson

I am a passionate and patient Bachelor of Education student with a love for helping learners develop confidence in their Afrikaans. I believe that learning should be enjoyable, supportive and suited to each learner’s individual needs.

My lessons are personalised according to the learner’s age, level and goals. I use a friendly and interactive approach, incorporating conversation, reading, vocabulary, grammar and practical activities to make Afrikaans easier and more enjoyable to learn.

I am able to teach in both Afrikaans and English, allowing learners to feel comfortable and supported throughout the lesson.

During a typical lesson, we will focus on the learner’s areas of difficulty while also building on their existing knowledge. I encourage learners to ask questions, participate actively and learn at their own pace.

My lessons are suitable for beginners, school learners and anyone who would like to improve their Afrikaans & Life Skills whether they need help with schoolwork, reading, speaking, vocabulary or general language skills.

As an education student, I understand the importance of patience and adapting my teaching approach to suit different learners. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and improving their skills.
