About Ananya
Hi! I’m a BSc Psychology student with a strong academic background and a passion for helping others succeed in Psychology and Sociology. I studied both subjects at an advanced level and also have a solid foundation in Biology, having taken it at school and completed an AP course. This helps me explain the biological aspects of Psychology clearly and confidently. I know how to break down complex theories into manageable, memorable ideas. My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to your needs—whether you're preparing for GCSEs or A-levels. I focus on building understanding, improving exam technique, and making complex topics feel manageable. I take pride in creating a supportive environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and making progress.

As a tutor, I focus on making complex ideas clear, engaging, and relevant. My teaching method is student-centred, meaning I tailor each lesson to your goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. Whether you're aiming to boost exam performance or deepen your understanding, I adjust my approach accordingly.
I use a mix of visual aids (e.g. mind maps, diagrams), real-world examples (from studies, current events, or media), and active recall techniques like quiz questions and discussions. I also encourage students to think critically about theories and case studies, not just memorise them.
A typical lesson starts with a quick recap of the last session, followed by an explanation of key topics with examples. Then we work through practice questions or past paper problems, and end with a brief summary and optional revision tips.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect academic content with real-life situations—from social movements to everyday behaviour. As a current Psychology student, I bring fresh, relatable insight and know what examiners are looking for because I’ve recently been through the process myself.
My lessons are ideal for GCSE and A-level Psychology or Sociology students, as well as those taking equivalent courses like IB or international high school syllabi.
