About Loveleen

I am in year 13, currently studying A-level biology, chemistry and psychology and I want to study medicine at university. I achieved a grade 8 in GCSE Triple Chemistry, showing that I have a strong foundation and a good understanding of the topics. For A-levels, I am predicted an A* in chemistry. I also have experience tutoring as I work at Explore Learning, which means I tutor a range of age groups across the whole curriculum. I have also taken part in the allied healthcare virtual work experience which helped to offer insight into jobs in the medical field that relate to biology and also successfully completed the competitively applied clinical placement work experience at Milton Keynes University Hospital. Upon reflection, these were experiences I enjoyed and helped to amplify my passion for the subject. I have a passion for sharing my knowledge and find the subject of chemistry fascinating.

About the lesson

In my lessons, I aim to help students understand concepts they find difficult by breaking down the content and focusing on each aspect. By explaining it in different ways and adapting to the student's preferred teaching style I can ensure that the content is understood by the end of the lesson. Each lesson will have an organised structure where we start by going through the content. Then exam-style questions and practice questions will be done within the lesson to help consolidate knowledge. After the lesson, homework will be given to help reinforce the knowledge from the lesson or homework can also be a time to recap old content that has been covered in previous lessons. To make sure the lessons are interactive and useful, I will be using a digital whiteboard to give the best learning experience and to make sure there is no difficulty for the student to focus on the content being taught.
