My name is Mariya Anjum, and my approach as an English teacher is centred on clarity, confidence, and connection. I believe that learning English should feel structured yet engaging, where students are encouraged to express themselves without fear of making mistakes.
I employ a student-centred and interactive teaching method, combining foundational grammar with real-life applications. My techniques include guided discussions, practical examples, vocabulary building through context, reading comprehension, and creative writing exercises. I focus on explaining concepts in simple terms and revisiting them until students feel confident using them independently.
A typical class begins with a quick revision of previous topics, followed by the introduction of a new concept using relatable examples. This is supported by practice activities such as sentence construction, short writing tasks, speaking exercises, or comprehension questions. Each session ends with a brief recap and targeted practice to reinforce learning.
What sets me apart as a teacher is my patient, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style. I pay close attention to individual learning speeds and modify my explanations accordingly. I create a comfortable environment where students feel safe to ask questions and actively participate.
