About Jasmine

I am entering my final year of studying law with criminology at university and wanted to gain extra experience and tackle tutoring as well. At school, I thoroughly enjoyed English and creative writing as it allowed me to express my ideas in writing which many subjects may not allow you to do. I believe I am hard-working, motivated and confident in myself to be able to help students achieve the very best that they can and want to emphasise that resilience and not giving up will help you achieve your end goal.

About the lesson

I believe in creating a positive and interactive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. My lessons are student-centred, which means I tailor each session to the unique needs and goals of the individual student. Whether they’re building foundational skills or looking to refine their English, I make sure every lesson is both engaging and effective. I use a variety of techniques to keep students engaged, including: Real-world applications: Incorporating everyday scenarios to help students use English naturally, whether in conversations or written exercises. Clear explanations: Breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand steps, especially for grammar and vocabulary. Continuous feedback: Offering constructive feedback during lessons to help students improve and build confidence. Most lessons last 45-75 minutes, which is ideal for keeping students focused and allowing time for active learning, practice, and review. As a law student, I have developed excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, that I use to teach English effectively. My experience as a tutor includes helping primary and secondary school students improve their reading, writing, and speaking skills. I understand the different learning styles of young learners and adapt my lessons accordingly, making sure each student stays engaged while progressing at their own pace. My lessons are designed for primary and secondary school students who want to improve their English, whether it’s for school assignments, exams, or general fluency. I work with students at all levels, from beginners to those looking to refine their skills in writing, reading comprehension, and speaking.
