About Shelly-Ann
Hello! My name is Shelly, and I’m an experienced English tutor with a passion for helping students achieve their language goals. I’ve been teaching English for over 6 years to students from a variety of backgrounds, ages, and levels. Whether you're a beginner looking to build a strong foundation, a student preparing for exams, or a professional who needs business English for work, I’m here to support you with personalized lessons that are practical, engaging, and tailored to your needs. As an English tutor, I use a communicative and student-centered approach that focuses on building real-world language skills. My goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident practicing English—whether it’s speaking, writing, reading, or listening.
*Teaching Method and Techniques
I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, needs, and learning style. I use a mix of:

Error correction with encouragement to build accuracy and fluency

*A Typical Lesson Plan
A standard 60-minute lesson may look like this:
Warm-up (5–10 minutes): Review previous material or engage in casual conversation
Main topic introduction (10 minutes): Introduce grammar, vocabulary, or skill focus
Guided practice (20 minutes): Activities to apply new knowledge (speaking, writing, reading, etc.)
Free practice (15 minutes): Open-ended use of the language in conversation or writing
Feedback and wrap-up (5 minutes): Correct errors, answer questions, and preview the next lesson
