About Chris
Based in Edinburgh, with a versatile skill set and a true passion for teaching, I offer low brass tuition to an advanced level for all ages and abilities
I have performed for 7 years as Principal Euphonium at the renowned Cooperation Band in Glasgow, as well as regularly performing as a soloist with various ensembles. I have given performance masterclasses for the SBBA, and have been fortunate enough to win accolades on a national level.
Aside from extensive performing experience, I am committed to providing targeted and personalised tuition to my students.

As an experienced tutor of both academic subjects and instrumental study, I strive to create a nurturing environment, where students can explore and enhance their skills. Through personalised lessons, students will grasp musical theory, develop performance skills, and cultivate a deeper understanding of their instruments, as well as music as a whole.
I deeply value the importance of guiding students towards self-sufficiency in their musical journey. My approach focuses on imparting the essential skills that allow students to develop both musically and technically on their instruments, fostering an environment for independent growth and exploration.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, depending on the needs of the student. Please contact me for a free meeting!
