About Ashley
I have 7 years of teaching experience and hold a Master of Education in TESOL. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with learners from many different countries and educational backgrounds who wanted to improve English for academic, professional, and personal success. I enjoy helping students discover that language learning becomes enjoyable when communication is practical and meaningful.
One learner joined my classes before beginning postgraduate studies at an English-speaking university. Together we strengthened academic writing, presentation skills, listening comprehension, and classroom discussions through realistic university activities. After several months of preparation, the learner adapted confidently to academic life and communicated comfortably with professors and classmates.
I believe every learner deserves patient guidance, consistent encouragement, and opportunities to practice English in realistic situations. My classroom promotes curiosity, active participation, and continuous improvement while creating an environment where students feel confident expressing themselves.
Outside teaching, I enjoy reading modern English literature, attending language education conferences, and exploring innovative teaching methods that improve student engagement. These experiences allow me to introduce fresh ideas, authentic materials, and practical communication activities into every lesson. I begin by identifying each learner's current English proficiency, communication needs, and personal objectives before designing customized lessons that promote steady improvement. This personalized approach allows students to strengthen their confidence while developing practical language skills for real-life situations. Every class integrates listening, speaking, reading, and writing through meaningful activities.
Grammar is introduced through authentic communication so learners understand how English functions naturally in academic, professional, and everyday settings. Vocabulary expands through themes including technology, travel, education, business, healthcare, and daily life that students can immediately apply outside the classroom. Pronunciation activities strengthen fluency through listening practice, guided conversations, and personalized speaking feedback.
Conversation sessions include interviews, presentations, debates, workplace scenarios, and collaborative discussions that improve confidence and communication skills. Reading exercises feature authentic articles, workplace documents, and short stories that strengthen comprehension while expanding useful vocabulary. Writing tasks develop organization, grammar, and clarity through emails, reports, essays, and practical communication activities.
Students preparing for IELTS, TOEFL, school examinations, university admission, professional communication, relocation, or international employment receive individualized preparation supported by regular assessments and structured revision plans. I carefully monitor progress, adapt lesson plans according to student development, and encourage independent practice outside class. Every lesson concludes with personalized review exercises that strengthen long-term language retention and communication confidence.
