About Lina

Hi, I’m Lina!
A dedicated tutor with 12 years of experience and a proven track record of supporting students towards their targets, and even beyond! Before becoming a tutor myself, I was once in your position: a student who had been taught by many different tutors. I’ve experienced first-hand what works, what doesn’t, what real passion looks like and what it truly means to invest in a student’s growth. That journey shaped the tutor I am today, someone who teaches not just for results, but to build confidence, clarity and lasting understanding. I bring not only subject knowledge and over a decade's worth of experience, but also empathy, insight and a strong commitment to helping every student succeed in a way that works for them.

Before reaching any goals, we will make sure the foundation is solid and do a deep dive into your understanding to check if there are any gaps that need to be filled. Step two: we'll cover the study goals and a study plan will be curated to match that. Step three: is a combined teamwork between you and I, where I promise to give it my all and your effort is needed too, to finally get to where you need to be.

About the lesson

My teaching style is interactive and supportive. I use a mix of explanations, practical examples and guided exercises to help concepts truly click. I always encourage questions and tailor each session based on your goals and learning style. My goal is not only to help students understand the subject matter but also to build the confidence, clarity, and independent thinking skills that lead to long-term success.

I use a mix of:

1 - Clear explanations to break down complex concepts
2 - Real-world examples to make learning relatable
3 - Guided practice and active recall to reinforce understanding
4 - Reflective questioning to deepen critical thinking

Every lesson is tailored to the student’s learning style, goals, and pace. I also integrate strategies from psychology to help with motivation, focus, and memory retention - especially helpful for students who struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, or low engagement. Sessions are structured but flexible - balancing explanation, practice, feedback, and reflection.
