About Savannah
Hello my name is Savannah, but you can call me ‘Teacher Sav’. I am a native English speaker with a level 5 TEFL certificate. I live in South Africa in a beautiful, sunny city called Durban. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Motion Picture Medium, and majored in cinematography. With this background, I can create creative and fun lessons that are suited to your learning goals. I have a lot of experience teaching children and adults as a karate instructor. This will be helpful in our lessons, because teaching beginners requires a lot of patience and perseverance, just like learning English. I also have experience in the classroom as a university lecturer at AFDA University. I know how to interact with different personalities and students of all levels. I make sure to focus solely on the individual and help you achieve your best results! I'm a very calm and patient person and I make sure to bring that into your lessons, because I know that learning a new language can sometimes be very scary. I am a very active person that loves the outdoors such as hiking to explore new places. I love music and singing. I also enjoy swimming and playing touch rugby. I love travelling, learning about new cultures and meeting new people along the way.
