My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching English
I aim to provide supportive, engaging, and personalised online English lessons that help you gain confidence and fluency. I tailor every session to your needs, ensuring our time together is effective and enjoyable.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology
I use a communicative language teaching (CLT) approach. This means we'll focus on active, real-world English use through:
Personalised learning paths: We'll identify your specific goals (conversation, travel, general fluency) and build lessons around them.
Interactive activities: Expect lots of role-playing, discussions, and authentic materials (articles, videos) to get you speaking and thinking in English.
Integrated skills: We'll practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing, even if your main goal is conversation.
Constructive feedback: I'll provide clear, gentle corrections, explaining why and how to improve, without interrupting your flow.
Pronunciation and fluency practice: We'll work on sounding more natural and speaking with fewer hesitations.
Contextual vocabulary building: Learn new words and phrases within our conversations, making them easier to remember and use.
Typical Lesson Length
My standard lesson is 60 minutes. This allows for comprehensive practice and feedback without becoming tiring.
