I have no mind for learning a new language, it's hard, and I honestly dropped out of French in High School. But Liz was so much more patient with me than any other teacher I've had. And while I won't lie and say learning French was fun when I took lessons with her. She didn't leave me hating the experience. I did look forward to trying to learn again with this much more patient and nice teacher.

That's what stuck out the most to me, and what I want to highlight. Anyone can show you how to speak their language. But it takes something special to 'teach a person' and with Liz's help, you're not just going to be shown. You'll be taught, and you'll be able to understand it.

Liz is an amazing tutor! I had several tutoring sessions with her to help me with my French 1501 course, which I only passed thanks to her skilled help. Her sessions were always very in-depth and built around whatever I was struggling with or needed to learn quickly, and she has a knack for making things memorable. I learned more from her in just a few lessons than I did all semester in a classroom setting. She did a lot of planning for our lessons, and brought a lot of material for me to keep and study with later, personalized for what I was struggling with and what I needed to know for my next test. Plus she has a great attitude - she’s very enthusiastic and positive, and unlike every other French teacher I’ve ever had, she never made me feel embarrassed or stupid for not understanding something or taking a little longer to learn it. Studying with Liz was the first time I didn’t hate learning French! She’s passionate about both the subject and the student, and she is hands down the best tutor I’ve ever had.

I’ve known Liz for over 20 years. She is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. She is fluent in French and has not only studied it in school and university, but has used it in her job as well. She has a degree from MUN in linguistics and is very patient when teaching others. She can help you out if you’re looking to get better at reading, writing, or just practicing conversational French. 10/10 will always recommend her!
