About Farrah
My name is Farrah and I am an A level student currently studying Maths, Economics and Biology. I have experience working with young children in nurseries and experience working in after school clubs with secondary school students. I love teaching, being able to pass on knowledge to others and helping people understand concepts instead of just accepting them.

I am a private tutor with good experience teaching primary and secondary level children. I achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Maths and at A levels I study maths, economics and biology. When I teach, I focus on making maths simple and clear. I break topics down step by step and explain them in a way that suits each person, so they don’t feel overwhelmed. I like to use examples and practice questions to build confidence, and I always encourage students to ask questions and learn from mistakes. After the content is learnt and they are confident on it, I focus on doing exam questions/past papers, as I believe this is the best method to getting marks during exams.
My lessons are structured to be clear, supportive, and effective for each student. I usually start with a quick recap of previous topics or a short starter activity to warm up and build confidence. Then, I introduce the new topic by explaining it step by step in a simple and easy-to-understand way. After that, we work through examples together before the student tries practice questions independently, with guidance when needed. I make sure to adapt the lesson to the student’s pace and focus on any areas they find difficult. At the end of each lesson, we review what has been learned and go over any mistakes to make sure everything is fully understood. My aim is to keep lessons engaging, build confidence, and help students improve steadily.
