About Quinn
I have over 5 years of tutoring experience and hold an MPhil in Mathematics. Teaching is not just about solving equations—it’s about building confidence. I help students of all ages approach math without fear and with curiosity. My focus is on reducing math anxiety through supportive strategies. I use growth mindset techniques to help students view mistakes as stepping stones. Every learner is unique, so I set personalized pacing for lessons. Positive reinforcement keeps them motivated throughout the journey. I have worked with many students who previously struggled with numbers. By creating a safe and encouraging environment, I guide them toward clarity and progress. Lessons are structured but flexible, balancing problem-solving with conceptual understanding. My teaching method in Mathematics is structured yet flexible. I focus on core topics like algebra, trigonometry, and geometry, while also guiding students through data interpretation, graphing, and statistics. I encourage learners to see the bigger picture of how maths applies in real research and problem-solving. To achieve this, I use deep textual analysis and carefully planned data exercises. Math-averse learners especially find my method supportive, as I focus on building comfort before moving to challenges.
I design lessons that combine short, clear explanations with detailed problem-solving. Students are encouraged to ask questions freely and test ideas without fear of mistakes. My priority is to create a safe, positive environment for exploration. Over time, analytical thinking and logical reasoning become natural habits. Each student’s progress is tracked closely, and I adapt the pace to their comfort.
The goal is always academic excellence, but also confidence in using maths practically. With patience and consistent effort, learners refine both data analysis and problem-solving skills.
