About Ivy
Hello! I'm an experienced piano tutor with over 14 years of teaching under my belt. I teach piano to students of all ages, from school and college students to working professionals. My goal is to make learning piano an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for everyone.
My tutoring approach is based on four key principles: Accountability, Creativity, Flexibility, and Empathy. I set clear goals and expectations for each student, ensuring steady progress through regular practice and constructive feedback. I also incorporate a variety of musical styles and techniques to keep lessons engaging and fun, helping students explore their own musical interests.
I understand that each student is unique, so I tailor my lessons to their individual needs and learning pace. Whether you're a beginner or aiming to master advanced pieces, I adjust my approach to suit your level. I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
In addition to piano, I can teach related subjects such as music theory, harpsichord, synthesizer, and keyboard. My goal is to inspire a lifelong passion for music in each student, helping them develop both technical skills and a deep appreciation for the art.
