About Sienna
I am a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education, focusing on voice. My passion lies in guiding singers to discover their full potential through choirs, vocal ensembles, and group harmony training. I specialise in Classical, Sacred, A Cappella, and Barbershop styles, helping students navigate diverse musical traditions with confidence. I have extensive experience in sight singing, solfège, and part-singing, ensuring each student develops strong pitch accuracy and musical literacy. Choral blend and ensemble cohesion are at the heart of my teaching, allowing singers to harmonise beautifully together. I also focus on rehearsal leadership, equipping students to lead and inspire within group settings. Over the years, I have successfully worked with school choirs, college ensembles, and community singing groups, achieving both technical growth and expressive performance. My approach balances structured vocal exercises with creative exploration, helping students build confidence and flexibility. I encourage vocal expression while maintaining healthy technique and tone. I love creating a supportive, motivating environment where every singer feels valued. Together, we explore repertoire, refine skills, and enjoy the unique joy of singing in harmony. Use vocal apps to practise warm-ups, breath control, and pitch matching, and a metronome to refine rhythm and timing. Explore multiple genres to enhance song adaptability, from pop to jazz, encouraging experimentation. Short daily sight-reading sessions strengthen music theory understanding and vocal agility. For the Quartet Player, emphasise blend, harmonisation, and listening skills. Practise vocal flexibility through part-switching and dynamic balance exercises. Record group rehearsals with DAWs to evaluate intonation and ensemble cohesion. Use metronomes to maintain tight rhythm, and vocal apps for pitch tracking individually. Focus on emotional alignment and expressive phrasing as a group to create cohesive performances. Encourage each member to experiment with solo lines for confidence and versatility. Rotate genres within rehearsals to strengthen adaptability and stage presence. Both personas benefit from a structured yet flexible schedule, combining technical exercises with creative expression, ensuring measurable progress while keeping sessions inspiring and motivating.
