About Yara

I am a singing tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor's degree in Music. I specialize in Classical, Pop, Rock, and Country singing, guiding students at all levels—from beginners to advanced performers. My lessons combine ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory to create a well-rounded musical foundation. I believe in personalized instruction, tailoring each lesson to fit a student’s unique voice, goals, and learning style. Together, we work on developing vocal technique, breath control, tone, and pitch accuracy. Performance skills are a key focus, helping students gain confidence on stage and express emotion through their singing. My approach encourages creativity and musical exploration, ensuring students enjoy the learning process while building solid skills. Whether preparing for auditions, performances, or personal growth, I provide structured guidance and constructive feedback. I aim to make every session inspiring, engaging, and rewarding. Ultimately, my goal is to help students discover their voice and share it with confidence and passion.

For The Suzuki Student, lessons emphasize foundational vocal technique and musicality. Breathing exercises focus on controlled airflow to support phrasing and tone. Pitch training uses apps like Vanido or SingSharp for ear accuracy and scale practice. Vocal health is reinforced with warm-ups and gentle exercises to prevent strain. Emotional connection is encouraged through storytelling in songs, helping students express meaning alongside technique. Performance skills develop gradually with small recitals and peer feedback, building confidence in front of others.

For The Orchestra Member, methodology prioritizes blending with ensemble sound and musical interpretation. Breathing techniques adapt to sustain long phrases and dynamic shifts. Pitch precision is enhanced using apps like TonalEnergy to match orchestral tuning. Vocal health is maintained through posture and hydration strategies. Lessons emphasize expressive phrasing, vibrato control, and stylistic nuance to complement orchestral works. Performance skills focus on stage presence, cue awareness, and adapting to group dynamics. Both personas benefit from recording sessions for self-assessment and goal tracking, fostering continuous improvement.
