About Orlaith

I am an honours B.Sc Astrophysics graduate, currently working in Dublin City University's Physics department, with over six years of teaching experience. I have mastered the art of teaching syllabus topics and also tips and tricks for both secondary (Higher and Ordinary levels in the Junior and Leaving Cert) and also college and university level exams. I’m passionate about teaching and love seeing students gain confidence and excel. My sessions create a judgment-free space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and truly learn. Let’s make learning maths enjoyable and successful!

About the lesson

I offer personalized maths lessons for both secondary (Junior and Leaving Certificate) and university levels. Whether you’re in an English-speaking school or attending a Gaelscoil, I’ve got you covered with lessons in both English and Irish. I break down tricky maths concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps, tailored to your learning style. Each session is customized to fit your level, and I’m a patient tutor who’s happy to go over topics as many times as needed until you feel confident. I like to keep my classes interactive, encouraging you to ask questions and get involved. My aim is to help you build confidence in maths and maybe even start to enjoy it! With over six years of experience, I’ve helped lots of students tackle the challenges of the Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert, as well as university maths. I also share useful tips and strategies that have been proven to work in exams, based on both my own experience and expert advice. My goal is to create a learning environment that’s affordable, supportive, and engaging, where you can develop a genuine interest in maths. Unlike many other tutors, I believe that quality education shouldn’t cost the earth, so I offer my services at a lower price without skimping on the quality. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need more information about my tutoring services. Please note: I currently offer LC HL Mathematics grinds in an online group class setting only which takes place every Saturday morning via online Google Meets. This group class delves into exam-focused topics and discussion of how to approach common problems where students generally struggle most. However, with this in mind, if you wish, I may direct your query to one of my affiliate tutors (all of whom I have personally trained) who specialize in Mathematics and can facilitate one-to-one online tutoring to help the student on a more personal level than what my current schedule can facilitate.
