About Olivia
Hi! I’m Olivia, a detail-oriented and patient tutor based in Calgary, Alberta with a strong background in math, physics, and analytical problem-solving. I’ve always enjoyed explaining scientific ideas in simple, practical ways and helping students gain confidence with every lesson. My passion for Physics comes from seeing how it connects theory to the real world — from motion and forces to energy and everyday technology. I bring that curiosity into my teaching, creating lessons that are clear, supportive, and engaging. Students describe my style as calm, encouraging, and easy to follow. My goal is not just to improve grades but to help each student actually enjoy learning Physics and feel proud of their progress.

My approach to teaching Physics is all about clarity, connection, and confidence. I believe students learn best when complex concepts are broken into simple, visual steps and linked to real-life examples they can relate to.
Each lesson starts by reviewing what the student already knows, identifying gaps, and setting a clear goal for the session. I use diagrams, everyday analogies, and guided practice problems to make sure students truly understand the principles before moving on.
A typical class includes:
Quick review of the previous topic or homework
Step-by-step explanation of a new concept (e.g., motion, forces, or energy)
Practice questions and problem-solving strategies
Summary & key takeaways to reinforce understanding
What sets me apart as a tutor is my analytical mindset and patient communication style. I make sure every student feels comfortable asking questions and gradually builds the confidence to tackle even challenging Physics problems.
My lessons are ideal for middle and high school students and college students (Grades 7–23) who want to:
Strengthen their understanding of Physics concepts
