About Anne
Language learning has been a profound aspect of my upbringing and my entire personality. I was born and raised in Germany and went to an International School where I learned English and Spanish. German is my mother tongue, I will always feel connected to its beauty and thus, I am excited to pass on my skills.
I am new to Edinburgh and in that sense, I believe we can learn a lot from one another, connect across different cultures, and grow not only as language learners but as individuals too.
I study Law and International Relations, am a talented public speaker, and understand the importance of communication in our community. Although we are often known as quite the opposite - I am a patient German, excited to work with you in whatever language area you desire.

Guten Tag, I'm Anne from Germany and I'm studying a masters degree in International Relations and International Law at the University of Edinburgh. I am thrilled to assist you in improving your German skills in an environment that is entirely focused on your goals. With a range of activities from listening, learning vocabulary in interactive ways, and getting the chance to engage in conversation with a native speaker, your German will improve through practice and fun.
I want to know what your ambitions are ... in which context would you like to speak German? Would you like to know more about German culture while increasing your language proficiency? Growing up trilingual, I learned the joys and fears that come with language learning. These lessons are about you and I am here to support you throughout.
I offer up to two lessons weekly, each lasting 50 Minutes. I will prepare activities, speaking and listening sessions, as well as fun homework activities if desired. I am excited to meet you, bis dann!

Perfect! Anne is super friendly and really patient when I cannot remember or don’t know how to say a word in German. I really enjoy the chats that we have in German, it is really nice having someone to talk to in German
