I am patient, and allow students to comfortably work at their own pace. At the same time, I'm thorough and ensure that students understand what they're learning and that they correct their mistakes.

Angela taught me Korean so I could speak with my Korean boyfriend's mom. His mom doesn't speak English, so it helped a lot that I knew basic phrases. Over about six months, I definitely improved a lot, and I was able to actually have conversations with her. It's truly amazing to be able to have conversations with someone you care about just by studying for a couple hours every week. I also put in some work (doing homework, studying a bit on my own), so that also helped. Angela was so patient and generous - she made things stick to my memory, and made learning fun. I highly recommend her.
