About Chethan
Hello! My name is Chethan, and I am passionate about helping students succeed in mathematics. I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science and have over 15 years of professional experience in software engineering, where mathematics, logic, and problem-solving are part of my daily work.
Throughout my career, I have mentored students, engineers, and colleagues, helping them understand complex concepts in a clear and practical way. I believe every student can excel in math when they are taught at the right pace and encouraged to ask questions without fear of making mistakes.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and focused on building a strong foundation. Rather than simply providing answers, I help students understand the reasoning behind each step so they can develop confidence and become independent problem solvers.

My name is Chethan, and I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science with over 15 years of experience in engineering, problem solving, and mentoring. I teach mathematics by focusing on understanding concepts rather than memorizing formulas. My lessons are tailored to each student's learning style, pace, strengths, and academic goals.
My teaching methodology is built around developing a strong mathematical foundation. Before moving to advanced topics, I identify and address any gaps in understanding that may be preventing progress. I encourage students to think through problems logically, explain their reasoning, and discover multiple ways to arrive at a solution. This approach helps students build critical thinking skills and become independent learners rather than relying on memorized procedures.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previously learned material to reinforce understanding and retention. I then introduce new concepts using clear explanations, visual aids, real-world examples, and step-by-step demonstrations. Together, we work through guided examples before gradually increasing the level of difficulty. I work with elementary, middle school, and high school students in subjects such as general math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and SAT math preparation.
