About Mbanam

I’m Mbanam Pride, I’m a patient math tutor who loves working with children aged 5-8 because this is when they build their confidence in learning.
> I believe every child can enjoy math when it’s taught through play. That’s why I use LEGO, crayons, and storytelling instead of boring drills to explain counting and addition.
> I’m calm, encouraging, and I never rush a child. If your kid makes a mistake, we laugh and try again together. I want them to feel proud after every lesson.
> Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading and drawing, which helps me come up with fun ways to explain numbers.
> My goal is simple: for your child to leave class smiling and saying “Math is fun.

About the lesson

*Patient Online Math Tutor for Ages 5-8 | in English| Fun with Addition, Counting & LEGO Learning via Zoom*

*Profile Description*

I help children aged 5-8 build confidence in math through play, not pressure. If your child feels shy about numbers or finds math boring, I’m here to change that.

*How I teach:*
I use hands-on methods with LEGO, crayons, and everyday objects so kids can see and touch math before they write it down. We’ll count with bottle caps, build LEGO number trains, and play simple math games that make addition and subtraction feel like fun. No worksheets or memorization.

*What your child will learn in 4 weeks:*
- Count confidently from 1 to 100
- Understand addition and subtraction within 20 using real objects
- Recognize shapes and simple patterns
- Write numbers 1-20 clearly and correctly

*My approach:*
Every child learns at their own pace, and I adapt each lesson to match their energy and attention span. My classes are patient, encouraging, and interactive — I celebrate small wins so your child feels safe to try and make mistakes.

*Logistics:*
- *Platform*: Zoom with screen sharing and physical materials at home
- *Materials needed*: LEGO or 10-15 small objects like beans, plus paper and crayons
- *Lesson length*: 30-45 minutes for ages 5-8 to keep focus

I offer a *free 30-minute trial lesson* so we can meet, talk about your child’s goals, and see if we’re a good fit before you book regular sessions.
